Bianca’s time at number 35

Our wonderful intern Bianca is leaving us a little too soon… We can’t believe it’s already been 2 months since she first started with us. Here is her own blog post about her time at number 35. We asked her what being a number 35 team member was like… Let’s hope she doesn’t hate us yet! :

”When I first received the news that I got an opportunity to be interviewed for a possible internship at Number 35… I’m not going to lie, I was extremely nervous. I began to do research about the company and by reading about them I got a sense that they were a powerful small business. Their message of empowering women and loving the body really impressed me. I finally got the news that I was selected and I was extremely excited and a bit nervous to be heading off to London for a real fashion internship.

My time at number 35 was absolutely amazing! I have never been so in love with an internship. If you have ever seen “The Devil Wears Prada”, that’s the typical stereotype of a fashion internship, but Number 35 is the complete opposite of that. On the very first day, everyone was so welcoming. Kristina and Charlotte are really great mentors and are also fun to work with, yet still very professional. By working with them, I’ve learned that there are no stupid question and I took full advantage of that and asked away. Andrea is amazing and a great mentor as well. She is such a strong businesswoman and it shows in the  result with the success of her company. I loved going to manufacturers and tailors because you can see behind the scenes and witness the different steps of the production of a garment.I learned every single step of how a small business is run and the benefactors of being a small company.

One of the things that makes Number 35 stand out amongst the rest, is how they treat their clientele. As soon as their client walks through the door, they make them feel right at home. They treat their clients like “family” and not just a selling opportunity. They want the person in their clothes to feel confident and comfortable in what they are wearing. The clients themselves are all so so friendly as well. All I know is that I’m going to be extremely sad when my internship comes to a close. Thank you number 35! ”
